When she returns from the States Michèle is alone, heartbroken and ruined. She rejoins the theatre. Then in Geneva she meets Adrien Jancou. They fall in love and she decides to leave the cinema to raise his two children. For two years they are very happy but faith is cruel, he dies of cancer.
